WPI Inauguration & Fashion Show – 1 April 2023
WPI was officially inaugurated with a grand fashion show on Women’s day!
WPI brings together women from diverse refugee communities who are susceptible and seeking to create social connections, trauma and the wellbeing support;
and attain economic viability and independence. Our aim is to assist women in overcoming barriers such as language and cultural differences, trauma, isolation, domestic violence, disabilities, unemployment, and lack of life skills, The Creative Touch International Women’s Day Celebration provides a platform for diverse women and stakeholders to come together in a safe space to share their wisdom, stories, network, and showcase products made by the women. The event also marks the launch of the WPI and Creative Touch Project. The focus of the event was to promote and support innovation, creativity, and practical action to advance gender equality through community engagement, education, and empowerment. WPI believes that by providing appropriate services and training in a supportive and understanding environment, women will experience increased self-esteem, confidence, resilience, and sense of belonging.
